Reviewing my own rough cut, I think that it would better to change the storyline slightly towards the end, as it doesn't really make much sense as it is at the current edit. Also, I would prefer if there was some audio to the transition scene.

I had Simon review my rough cut and here are the comments and changes he recommended.

  • Get rid of a shot where the camera makes it look like the character is shrinking rather than moving backwards.
  • Create another short scene after the living room scene and make the character go back and pick up the ball rather than just leaving the storyline with no real ending.
  • With this new scene, when Floaty picks up the ball or looks at it, more balls appear or something along those lines.
  • Don't have the character and the ball disappear, it doesn't make any sense to the storyline.

I had Abbii review my rough cut and here are the comments and changes he recommended.

  • Don't make the ball disappear.
  • Make the character look like he bounces more when he floats. As at the moment it looks like he glides across the floor.
  • Make it so the character goes back to the park and gets the ball. This means that the ball doesn't disappear when it falls to the ground.

As the can see from the photo above compared to the photo below. I have colour graded this transition scene to make the shadows slightly darker and to make it more saturated.

The photo above clearly shows that I have added audio tracks to all of the scenes in the animation that needed it to make it better. Not only have I just added audio, I have looked at the levels and increased and decreased them when needed to make sure that the sound wasn't too loud or too quite throughout the animation.
